Studio

In the spring of 2008, Jack Hulme Design moved to a renovated cigar factory in the historic center of York, PA. Called “The Gateway to the West,” York was founded in 1741 and became a common departure point for settlers migrating westward in the late 1700s. The studio of Jack Hulme Design also moved west, ending where others began, by relocating from its six-year home in Bucks County to a new studio and community in York.

The 2,400 square foot open studio features 12-foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, and timber beams. During the summer months, eight-foot barn doors on the building’s north end open the studio to summer concerts and events in the recently-renovated Foundry Plaza. The York County Heritage Trail is just across the creek along with the historic Gates & Plough Complex and the Downtown York Visitor’s Center. Here in the heart of York, Jack Hulme Design has become a part of the burgeoning arts, culture, and business community.

Equidistant (40 minutes) from Harrisburg, PA, and Baltimore, MD, and one hour to Philadelphia, York is a central location for clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic. We remain in close proximity to both urban and rural areas from which we draw our inspiration. Here, as individuals and as a studio, we are part of a small town, and the sense of community it encourages. We look forward to growing Jack Hulme Design as we participate in the growth and development of York.
